Know where a new restaurant will deliver — before it opens
We predicted the delivery catchment of every McDonald's in Manchester from addresses alone, then compared it with the real Deliveroo map. The zones matched 90% — store by store.

Where will a new restaurant actually deliver? You shouldn't have to wait until it opens to find out.
At Getplace.io, we've built a model that predicts the delivery catchment of a new restaurant before it exists. To validate it, we tested it on the delivery coverage of one of the key brands.
The test: 39 addresses in Manchester
We took McDonald's in Manchester and predicted the delivery catchment for every restaurant using only their locations. Then we compared the result with the real Deliveroo delivery map.

That is the whole input: 39 pins on a map. No order data, no menus, nothing taken from the delivery platform itself.

That map is the prediction: 39 catchments drawn from those pins alone. The next one is reality — the same 39 restaurants as Deliveroo actually serves them today.

The result: a 90% match
The result: a 90% match. Not just the outline of the whole brand. That's the easy part.

The difficult part is predicting the boundaries between individual restaurants — deciding which houses and postcodes belong to which location, just as the delivery platform does.

Why this matters
Because a delivery catchment is the real market a restaurant serves.
Now you can evaluate a site while it's still just a pin on the map. You can estimate its true reach, understand how much demand it will generate, and see how much it is likely to cannibalise from your existing restaurants.

This works for any chain, in any city.
If you're planning new locations, this is exactly what getplace was built for.
The delivery maps in this analysis come from delivery zone tracking — the real coverage of every store on every platform, yours and your competitors'.
